View All Teachers

In 1994, I  obtained my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Claflin University.  After working as a teacher for one year, I decided to pursue and obtained a Masters degree from South Carolina State University in 1998.  To expand my knowledge of education, in 2003, I received a second Masters in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina.

I served in several capacities during my twenty-one years as an educator; teacher, Reading Interventionist, Assistant Princiipal, and currently Success For All Facilitator/Data Coach.  I believe that my purpose is to  nurture and educate of the whole child by providing their teachers with all the tools necessary to meet their needs. It is has been a priveledge to understand the different facets involved in shaping an excellent school.

I am a native "New Yorker;" born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.  As a child, I would visit South Carolina every summer, and fell in love with the slow pace.  When I graduated from  high school, I moved to South Carolina to attend college and remained.  I have one sibling; whom I am blessed to share the same birthday.   Additionally, I am a proud mother of a high school student.  During my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
